Biography

Journey

Artist painter originating from and based in Tours, I develop a universe centered on large-format portraits created with an airbrush. My work follows a hyperrealistic approach, on the border of trompe-l'œil, where every detail seeks to achieve the precision and visual impact of photography. Inspired by cinematic and pop and pop art aesthetics, I explore contrasts, light play, and intense colors to give my works a strong, vibrant, and contemporary presence.

Artistic approach

Artistic approach

I have been painting since childhood. I started drawing and painting around the age of five, driven very early on by a fascination with images, details, and the ability of painting to reproduce reality. What was initially a game became, over the years, a deep passion and then a true vocation. Driven by the desire to make this art my profession, I first specialized in traditional brush trompe-l'œil painting by joining Mur'Dec in Nantes. This approach allowed me to develop technical rigor, a keen sense of observation, and a precise understanding of volumes, materials, light, and perspectives. Later, seeking to push my quest for realism even further, I turned to airbrushing by joining RBT Création, also in Nantes. This technique quickly became my primary means of expression. Through it, I now work on large-format portraits where every detail, every reflection, and every contrast contributes to blurring the boundaries between photography and painting. Inspired by artists such as Omar Ortiz, Mike Dargas, Fabiano Millani, Fabrice Murciano, Philipp Weber, and many others... I aim to tame hyperrealism and contemporary visual aesthetics, exploring above all the power of the gaze and human presence. Color, play of shadows and light, marked contrasts, and extreme precision occupy a central place in my creative process. My work seeks to create visual disturbance, a moment of hesitation where the eye can no longer immediately tell whether it is looking at a photograph or a painting. Through my works, I seek less to reproduce reality than to make it waver.
