Hosting

Hosting provided by Scalingo SAS (France / Union européenne), GDPR-compliant (data in France / European Union).

Media files (artwork images, logos) may be stored on a GDPR-compliant object storage service (EU).

Purpose of the service

Artworks Digital lets artists create a public portfolio, galleries showcase their artists, collectors follow works, and everyone buy or sell via the marketplace.

Main features: catalogues, blog, matching, visibility statistics (first-party analytics), optional online stores, Stripe payments.

Intellectual property

Works, texts and visuals published by artists and galleries remain their property.

The platform code, design, brand and modules remain the property of Artworks Digital.

Any unauthorized reproduction of platform elements is prohibited.

Personal data (GDPR)

Data controller: Artworks Digital for platform accounts; each artist, gallery or seller for their own store visitors/customers data.

Purposes: account creation, portfolios, marketplace orders, support, aggregated statistics (consent required for trackers), service communications.

Legal bases: contract performance, legitimate interest (security, anti-fraud), consent (analytics / third-party marketing cookies).

Rights: access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability — via your account or contact@artworksdigital.fr.

Processors: host (Scalingo), payment (Stripe), email delivery, file storage — all under contractual safeguards.

Retention: active account lifetime then archiving per legal obligations (billing, accounting, disputes).

Without consent, no Google Analytics 4 script is loaded. Internal statistics use a hashed IP fingerprint (never raw IP) server-side.

Isolated spaces (multi-tenant)

Each portfolio, gallery or store has a separate logical space. Data is not shared between users.

Each user remains responsible for content published on their space.

Security

TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, per-account access controls.

In case of a data breach, notification to affected individuals in accordance with GDPR.

Liability

Artworks Digital strives to ensure service availability and security. Sellers remain responsible for their works, pricing, shipping and compliance.

External links are informational; Artworks Digital does not control their content.

Applicable law & disputes

French law. Amicable resolution preferred before legal action.
