Le noir, loin d'être négatif, symbolise la profondeur, l'identité et la spiritualité africaine. C'est une couleur de force, de mémoire et de résistance. Les fragments de miroir cassé rappellent les blessures de l'histoire africaine, mais aussi la résilience. Je montre qu'avec ses morceaux dispersés, on peut reconstruire une forme belle et cohérente. C'est une métaphore de l'Afrique qui se reconstruit sans renier ses cicatrices, son origine et son identité. La feuille de cannabis, souvent symbole de vie, d'héritage et de nature, est utilisée en médecine pour traiter certains maux. Elle peut réduire le stress, favoriser le sommeil et intervenir dans d'autres domaines thérapeutiques. Elle incarne un rappel aux descendants africains de l'union qui régnait entre nos aïeux. Aussi, elle est utilisée dans les rituels ancestraux pour voyager du physique vers le monde des esprits. Durant la période de l'esclavage, elle était une union qui représentait une forme de rébellion aux yeux des colonisateurs. Malheureusement, ses connaissances n'ont pas été transmises au fil des générations, ce qui a provoqué une rupture du lien avec la terre-mère et l'ancestralité. Pour conclure, à travers cette œuvre, j'invite les peuples africains à s'unir, à se reconnecter aux racines de leurs ancêtres et à garder à l'esprit que même brisé, on peut briller. Même dans l'obscurité, l'Afrique conserve sa lumière.

Journey
ASSOGBA Pascal, recognized in civil records, is a student. Parallel to my academic path, I am a self-taught artist known as LYNO. Developing a personal artistic approach, I base my work on experimentation and the constant search for authenticity. Through painting, drawing, and mixed media, I explore themes of African identity, social realities, and the human being.
